PAIN

Hip or Groin

Everything we implement is meant to get you back Up And Going!

Many tissues, when they are “mad,” produce hip and groin pain.  Perhaps the problem is with the hip’s cartilage or labrum.  Perhaps one or more of the tissues that make up the lumbar spinal segments is referring pain to the front, side, and/or back of the hip.

Our

Approach

Many tissues, when they are “mad,” produce hip and groin pain.  Perhaps the problem is with the hip’s cartilage or labrum.  Perhaps one or more of the tissues that make up the lumbar spinal segments is referring pain to the front, side, and/or back of the hip.  Perhaps the cause is a dysfunction in the next joint down, the SI joint.  If the SI joint is the problem, then the lumbar spine will be involved as well.  In fact, they each affect the other.  Our job is to identify the tissues involved and the factors leading to their breakdown and inability to recover.  As our assessment uncovers the root issues, we will engage in manual hands-on work of soft tissue and joint mobilizations to provide input into the tissues so they can better tolerate stress without pain.  Prescribed exercises are needed to not only strengthen areas that are weak but also to provide the appropriate “input” into the tissue.  Exercises may include small but specific movement in order to isolate a small but important muscle or more dynamic exercises, which will establish better control during bigger movements.  Everything we implement is meant to get you back on the dance floor!
