At PROMPT Physical Therapy and performance we offer dry needling as a specialized treatment option alongside personalized rehabilitation plans. Dry needling involves the precise insertion of thin needles into muscle tissue, targeting areas of tension and dysfunction.

Dry needling works with three primary mechanisms; pain relief, resetting muscular tension, and promoting our bodies healing process directly at the targeted tissue. Oftentimes Dry needling can be an incredibly helpful tool to get over chronic muscle or tendon injuries that just do not seem to be getting better. Unlike acupuncture, which is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is based on Western medical principles.

Ask your physical Therapist about if dry needling would be a helpful adjunct in your rehabilitation process.
