Questions
What insurances do you take?
We’re in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, and Tricare.
If you ever have questions about coverage or what your benefits look like, our team can walk you through it so you know exactly what to expect.
What are your cash / non-insurance rates?
For clients not using insurance, our straightforward rates are:
• $125 for the Initial Evaluation
• $95 for each Follow-Up Visit
These are one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
No surprise billing. No rushed care. Just focused treatment and a plan tailored to your goals.
What makes PROMPT Physical Therapy different?
A lot of people feel like traditional PT is rushed, cookie-cutter, or based on guesswork. PROMPT is the opposite.
Here’s what sets us apart:
• One-on-one treatment every visit with a doctor of Physical Therapy.
• We combine skilled hands-on treatment including joint mobilization, manipulation, and soft tissue work with personalized exercise so you can relieve pain, move better, and get back to what you love.
• We use the same VALD technology trusted in professional sports to pinpoint strength deficits, measure force production, and track your progress with real data.• A phase-based plan so you always understand the purpose behind what we’re doing
• Experience working with active adults, competitive athletes, and runners of all levels
Our goal is to give you the support, clarity, and tools you need to move past pain and return to the activities that matter most to you.
Do I need a referral to start PT?
Tennessee offers direct access, which means you can come straight to us without seeing a doctor first.
Some insurance plans do require a referral, including:
• Medicare
• Tricare
• Humana
If you’re unsure whether your plan needs one, just give us a call. We can check for you, and if you do need a referral, we’ll help coordinate it so the process is simple and you can get started quickly.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear something you can move comfortably in.
Shorts, leggings, joggers, t-shirts, or general workout clothing all work well.
If we’re assessing a specific joint like a knee, hip, or shoulder, having that area easy to access helps us get a better look.
What can I expect during my first visit?
Your first session is focused on two things: getting a clear understanding of your symptoms or limitations, and building a plan together that moves you toward your goals.
During the visit, we will:
• Talk through your symptoms, activity history, and training or lifestyle needs
• Complete a full physical exam including assessing your strength, mobility and joint function.
• Create a step-by-step plan based on your goals and what matters most to you
• Begin treatment with a goal of calming your symptoms and restoring movement.
You’ll leave with clarity on the plan and what the next steps will look like.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are 40 minutes of one-on-one time with your physical therapist.
You will always work directly with your PT for the full duration of the session.
When additional exercise or guided work is helpful, our technicians are available to support you before or after your session.
Do you work with athletes and runners?
Yes, we work with professional athletes, Division I athletes across multiple sports, high school athletes, and competitive distance runners.
We also help active adults stay strong, stay healthy, and stay doing the activities they care about.
We offer return-to-sport and performance testing using VALD technology to ensure your readiness is based on objective data, not guesswork.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your condition and your goals, but most active adults and athletes see meaningful progress within four to eight visits.
We base this on how you respond to treatment and what objective testing shows over time.
Do you offer performance, strength training, or injury-prevention programs?
Yes. We offer:
• Running-specific strength training
• Force-plate performance testing
• Customized strength programs
• Injury-prevention training for active adults and athletes
If you want to get stronger, move better, stay healthy, or perform at a higher level, we can build a clear, structured plan to help you get there.
